About Us

Avantika (AV) Shahi, Co-Founder and Broker:

AV is a top producer at Keller Williams Realty and the co-founder and COO of HausAngeles. AV directly manages all HausAngeles residential real estate listings and oversees all residential real estate transactions.

Born and brought up in North India, AV earned her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and worked at one of the leading architectural and city planning firms in India. She went on to gain strong marketing and design experience with J. Walter Thompson, India, where she successfully launched major brands including Ford Motors in India. In 1996 she came to UCLA for her Master’s in Architecture and has made Los Angeles her home since then.

Currently a resident of Hollywood Hills, A.V. enjoys giving back to her community, and is actively involved with the Hollywood United Neighborhood Council. In her time off, she loves cooking and spending time with her family, friends, and two adorable rescue Great Danes – Lara and Tank. DRE Lic #: 01443180

Ray Mathoda, Co-Founder and Principal:

A well known industry thought-leader, Ray leads HausAngeles’ consulting practice which is focused on loss mitigation, foreclosure prevention and affordable housing. Ray also consults with clients to analyze and discuss national and local real estate market trends and insights.

Ray was previously Chief Administrative Officer at Indymac Bank, a Top 10 US Thrift and Home Mortgage Lender, where she was responsible for all of the Company’s People and Expense related functions including Human Resources, Global Resources, Purchasing, Real Estate, Corporate IT and Culture/Communications. Prior to joining Indymac, Ray was a Management Consultant with McKinsey & Company, a global consulting firm, focused on resolving key Board and CEO-level strategic issues and designing/executing performance transformation programs at Fortune 1000 companies.

Ray graduated with an A.B. with Honors from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. At the Woodrow Wilson School, Ray focused on studying Economics and Public Policy/Politics. Ray has an M.B.A. in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University.

Ray lives in and loves the city and people of LA, and has a passion for creating positive change for the lowest income members of her community. Ray is a City Commissioner for the Los Angeles Public Housing Authority (which owns or administers all of the City’s Section 8 and Public Housing), and a Board member for the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center. Ray Mathoda Tom Galbraith, Residential Real Estate Specialist:

Tom has never faced a challenge he couldn’t overcome. Tom spent most of his professional life involved in complex strategic planning as a successful executive, first with JP Morgan and then with Deutsche Bank North America, where he led teams in successfully evaluating business opportunities.

Bruce Seid, Investments and Commercial Real Estate Specialist:

A successful entrepreneur and investor, Bruce loves numbers and is focused on working with HausAngeles investment and commercial real estate clients.

On the investment front, Bruce’s focus is primarily on helping clients list or buy income producing multi-family investments. On the commercial real estate front, Bruce works primarily with individuals and small/medium sized organizations (for-profit and non-profit) to help them meet their commercial real estate needs.

Doug Wilson, Buyer Specialist:

Doug is an experienced agent focused exclusively on working with buyers, including first time home buyers. Doug is heavily involved with local charitable organizations and is an avid fitness enthusiast who has run 3 marathons. DRE Lic #: 01495976

Danny J Winebarger, Assistant:

Danny is an LA Native. Currently, residing in Los Feliz. He was born in Pasadena and grew up living all over Los Angeles. In 2004, he graduated from ITT Technical Institute earning him an Associates of Science Degree in Multimedia and Design. He is an experienced licensed assistant who has worked for Sotheby’s and Prudential California Realty. Danny is also a musician that plays in a couple local bands. He loves Los Angeles and takes pride in being an active member of this community.
